We’ve added a history feature to the Research Thread. Now you can easily review your past interactions and keep track of your research progress.

🔢 LaTeX Support in Responses

Maimo now supports LaTeX display in responses. This enhancement ensures the accurate presentation of mathematical equations and scientific notations, making it even more valuable for users working with complex formulas and academic content.

📖 New Asset Page is Coming

The redesigned asset page as we’ve sneak-peeked on the landing page is now live for all users!

• The right panel now provides a more stable and better browsing experience for each module. You can navigate through Insights, Ask Maimo, and Marks using the switch tab at the top. The transition between modules remains flexible. The permanently available input box lets you ask questions immediately whenever needed.

• We’ve also made the Insights more compact. For assets currently categorized as ‘Other’, we’ve implemented an accordion structure similar to what we introduced on the Chrome extension, which has been loved by many users. And more Insights templates are coming soon!

• Besides, we’ve added a new tab named “About” to display metadata, including the author, description, show notes, and more. This makes it easier to get the key context about the asset at a glance.

🚀 Enhancements

• XiaoyuzhouFM Support: We’ve supported XiaoyuzhouFM Podcast link. Now just paste its episode link and Maimo do the rest.

🛠️ Bug Fixes

• Compatibility Issue on Safari: We’ve resolved layout and display issues that were occurring on Safari.

• Onboarding Tip Issue on Chrome Extension: The onboarding tip will no longer appear after being dismissed, even if the extension is automatically upgraded.

In this update, we’ve fixed some issues and improved performance to enhance your Maimo experience.

🛠️ Bug Fixes

• File Upload Issue on iPad & Safari: We’ve fixed file upload issues where files wouldn’t get uploaded after being selected on Safari and iPad browsers.

• Login State Issue on Chrome Extension: Previously, you might have encountered login state issues with the Chrome extension, which was quite annoying. We’ve fixed this bug, and the update has already been shipped. Please ensure your Chrome extension is up to date.

🚀 Enhancements

• Assets Loading Speed: We’ve increased the assets loading speed to provide a smoother user experience.

• User Onboarding: We’ve added several clear hints within the app to assist new users in getting started with Maimo.

🏠 New Dashboard is Coming

As we’ve sneak-peeked on the landing page, the new dashboard is now rolled out to all users! You can upload new assets more easily through the command bar at the top of the dashboard now. Besides, you can ask Maimo questions or search assets right in the same place. We’ll also be adding more quick actions to make it more powerful and tailored to your needs.

Along with this, we’ve also made several updates to the search results page and the research thread page (currently in preview version). Check it out now!

We’ve addressed certain issues related to asset uploads. Furthermore, we’re refining the asset upload process to improve your experience with knowledge ingestion.

🚀 Maimo is in Public Beta

We’re thrilled to announce that Maimo is now available in public beta! In addition, we’ve made several updates and improvements. Here’s what’s new:

🎨 Redesigned Landing Page

We have redesigned the landing page to provide an updated introduction to what Maimo is and what it can do for you.

✨ Paid Plans

With public beta, we are introducing two paid plans: Maimo Pro and Maimo Unlimited. Maimo Pro offers higher monthly upload limits and increased file size limits compared to the free plan. Maimo Unlimited provides unlimited uploads. Check our pricing page for more details on the specific limits for each plan.

↩️ “Uploads” Renamed to “Assets”

We’ve reverted the term “Uploads” back to “Assets” as it better reflects the purpose and use of the feature.

❌ Deprecated Tagging

After careful evaluation, we’ve decided to deprecate the beta tagging feature in Maimo. We found that the auto-tagging functionality did not provide enough value to our users. Therefore, we’ll be deprecating this feature for now as we explore alternative methods to enhance organization.
